    Smile Use Rubber Gloves!

I can't count how many times I have seen pictures of people holding frogs or other amphibians with their bare hands. Folks' please use rubber or similar gloves when you handle your pets. Thank you.

Good post Make sure the gloves are powder-free. I got a box of 100 at a drug store for under $5, so it's not going to break the bank and 100 gloves last a long time! When handling more delicate frogs, it helps to spray them with dechlorinated water also. If you have an emergency and need to handle the frogs without gloves, rinse your hands very thoroughly to remove all soaps and lotions, then spray with dechlorinated water.

And for Pete's sake, if you keep multiple species, change gloves before handling the next species.

Have you heard anything about using non powdered latex gloves? Would love some clarification on it becausd Ive heard yes and no. I know to always use non powdered but some people say to use a specific type of rubber glove thats not latex I guess? Is this b.s. or does is matter

I've never heard of not using latex. I use vinyl though due to my own latex allergy.
