yeah, fruit flies are way too small for white's. they will take them after they morph from from tads, but after that, they would just find them to be an annoyance more so than food stock.

You could also try butter worms and horn worms (domestically cultured). I want to try and let some wax worms transition into moths and feed those.

I've always been worried about the possibility of respiratory infection (Oregon's known for mold, as you know, Kazzie, lol) so don't like to keep the humidity as high, but like everyone's saying they accept a wide range I'm in the NW part so we generally don't have problems with low humidity here anyway, except for the times we get the crazy dry cold snaps like we've had, or those odd super hot summer days But upper 40% to 60% suits my guys well here.

Do you think they would take super worm beetles? I've been wondering if if that was an option (since super worms seem to be so easy to breed, that is) I've been thinking about horn worms for them too, but the problem with that is I cannot seem to find a place that supplies them for cheap. The closest I came was Amazon, and they only provide 12 at a time. Petco certainly doesnt carry them.

I dropped the humidity down a little bit, around 40-60%, just in case. They dont seem to care either way.

I wish I could keep crickets alive! They just seem to not like me. Plus, trying to get a colony out of them is STINKY. I have tried and tried and tried to get a colony of crickets so that I can have a ready supply of pinheads for my PTF's but for the life of me I cannot make it work. I am definitely going to get the PTF's some fruit flies to supplement them though. They are such piggies!
