I have 6 4 month old ADF froglets in an uncycled 2.5 gallon tank that I maintain with daily water changes. I am going to go up to my grandma's house in Pennsylvania for possibly a week after Christmas and I'm worried about how I'm going to feed them. They can now eat baby brine shrimp, zoo med pellets, mini bloodworms and brine shrimp (with difficulty). I'll probably put them into my cycled 10 gallon in a breeder box to give them a lower maintenance environment, but I'm wondering how I'll feed them (they eat 2X a day). Please help!
You could use one of those automatic feeders as long as the food is compatible. I've never used one myself so I can't make a specific recommendation but there should be plenty out there.
Is there anyone that could just pop in and feed them for you? I hired someone from my local pet store to do it for me since my frogs eat live food and most people I knew were pretty squeemish about crickets. It was a big relief to have someone doing that for my frogs when I was on vacation.
2.0.3 Hyla versicolor "Eastern Gray Tree Frogs"
2.2.0 Agalychnis callidryas "Red Eyed Tree Frogs"
0.0.3 Dendrobates auratus "Turquoise and Bronze"
0.0.1 Anaxyrus fowleri "Fowler's Toad"
I've decided to get a vacation feeder for them. It's not perfect, but it should get them through the week. Thanks to everyone who replied.
Let us know how it works when you get back.
