    I don't know quite what you're describing as your setup for the substrate.
    I have cypress bark as substrate for my WTF and he's fine with it. If you mean that you want to put paper towel over that, I would say weigh it down with a few rocks around the edges so he can't get under.

    if you already put leaf litter down, no need to worry about the chunks in the abg. how long has frog #1 been having regular poo? are there any issues with frog #2?

    Frog #1 has had about two solid movements (edit: about 3 weeks), Frog #2 has never had any sign of illness.
