I recently set up a 61 gallon tank for my FBT and they seem very pleased with their new environment but there's one problem, there is a large log that goes from the water to the dry land the keep getting small molds when moist, is the some way to prevent the mold and is it dangerous ?
What color is the mold?
How long have you had the viv up and running? White mold is normal and safe, it should cycle itself out after a bit of time.
2.0.3 Hyla versicolor "Eastern Gray Tree Frogs"
2.2.0 Agalychnis callidryas "Red Eyed Tree Frogs"
0.0.3 Dendrobates auratus "Turquoise and Bronze"
0.0.1 Anaxyrus fowleri "Fowler's Toad"
It's white, with few very small green dots
Springtails and isopods will consume mold and fungus and will provide a great snack for your toads.
Mold is a normal part of a new vivarium/terrarium. It will cycle itself out and as DiggenEm recommended Isos and Springs will act as a little "cleanup crew" for your habitat and will eat the mold/fungus. We seed all of our vivariums at least with Springtails.
