Hey guys just picked up this unique looking glass cage thing and was wondering what you guys would recommend as far as layout for plants/moss and sealing the wood so that I can put plants in there and be able to water them without it rotting eventually. There probably isnt going to be any animals going in this one unfortunately it will be strictly vegetation![]()
that appears to be an old wardian case. you can freshen it up with tinited (with acrylic craft paint) drylok waterproofing paint. you may want to seal any bottom half joints where glass meets wood with 100%silicone. then you should be good to go.

If you are going to seal up and refresh the terrarium, then humidity loving plants will be the best option, Wandering Jew,
Weeping Fig, tropical mosses and I would say tropical ferns but im not too sure how they do without the ventilation.
