Plant Species?

Hi Everyone

I am planning to set up a terrarium to house a couple of Australian red eyed tree frogs. The Terrarium is an Exo Terra Mini Tall 30*30*45

I hope to plant it with a small variety of plants. Can anyone suggest any species? They have to be Australian.

PS: If I plant the terrarium, is it a must that I invest in an automatic mister?

I have the exact same setup and am finally after 3 years giving my little guy some live plants in his home... i also have no clue what to get and how i need to care for the vivarium setup differently.

Unfortunately I am unfamiliar with endemic or native australian plant species. I am however familiar with australian plants that overlap their geographic distribution with south-east asia and new guinea.

Hello and welcome to FF! Can use plants you like from same area where frogs live in the wild. Using Neil's provided links to guide can help ID them. If you have any questions about a particular species; then ask in here .

Just be sure to check local laws and regulations before field collecting species of plants. Like frogs, many are protected. Also, be sure you can identify any plant you are collecting 100%, to ensure no issues with collecting protected species. A lot of plants look alike and have very subtle differences that could be the difference between a beautiful enclosure and jail time
