So sorry he wont eat, I have never had to force feed so I don't know to much on how to go about it. Do you think he can see the worm at all? Im wondering if he has lost so much of his vision he cant determine whats going down the hatch so he wont take it? I don't know if that's the case but I wonder if everything is just spooking him out. Poor little guy.

I think that the eyes being closed is an indicator of something more serious going on (such as issues related to the water). Sitting around with the eyes closed like that is a sign that the frog isn't feeling well; basically, I don't think he's going to willingly eat while he's got the eyes closed, but it isn't because he can't see, it's because he feels bad. I imagine that once the issues with temp and water are corrected, he'll open his eyes and eat for you.

I wouldn't worry about him trying to eat until he is looking better, or at least for a week or so. You might try soaking him in a unflavored pedialite/treated water mixture, not sure of the ratio but it's been posted before. Might help him flush his system and give him a little bit of a pickup.

If you want to try the bath it is 1oz of unflavoured pedialyte per 10oz of water. Make sure the water is lukewarm and no deeper then the chin. Let him soak for 20mins.

First of all... Im so sorry this is happening and this is bad.

Your frog is freezing, this this body functions are shutting down add to it exstreme toxicosis due to the water used and you gave this. However... It's not too late until it is. You did a huge step towards helpng his and asked for advise! Now let's see how it'll go.

    4: Temperature: Day: 24 to 26 Celsius Night: 21 to 23 Celsius
this is day 75-78 F, night 69-73F. You need to aim for day at 80-82, night 75-78. In Celsius day time should be at 27-29.

the water part everybody has covered already, you haven't used vitamins for him as well.

a frog won't eat until he is better, if he can't use his eye balls, he can't swallow.

You need to do a full on hydrotherapy to help with water exchange and to flush toxins, he also needs to fix his electrolyte balance and vitamin deficiency. no guarantees here, hope he will make it.

That's what you need to do other just use different water. get unflavoured pedialyte, but the best would be to get special amphibian ringeri that is available at herp vets, it had a bit different formula then pedialyte.

You need to do a bath ( 20-30 min) In full strength amph.ringeri or 1:1 mix water- pedialyte. Do this for 4-5 days and see what's going on, update us, concentration will change later on.

Simultaneously you need to get reptiaid by fluckers. It is sold in powder form, if you can get it in him anyhow that would be great - Force feed or may be you can get him to eat food coated with it, whatever you try to get him eat has to be very soft, I'd just get some of that stuff in syringe without a needle and force feed. You see what works for you.

Full change of substrate. I suggest you keep him on papertowels for the time being.

Temperature.... You gotta fix it ASAP! But do it gradually, it's dangerous to get it from low to high fast, his kidneys might shut down.

would you please post pic of him from top and how big is be exactly? Can he use his legs?

Good evening Lija. I just wanted to ask if the information I gave about the bath would have made it worse? Did u change the ratio because his poor froggy is so sick. Im just asking because I got the info from the forum and I would never want to give the wrong advice and make a situation worse. And please don't think im questioning you, im more quetioning my own advice now.

    No Cory, it's ok.
electrolyte baths are used for different reasons. It can be anywhere from 1:1 to 1:10 depending on a severity of the situation and the purpose.
1:10 is used for mild cases, you were right, it wont hurt or make it worse in that particular situation or in any situation for that matter.
