He's prolapsed againGiving him supportive care and a sugar bath. It just seems it's always too much too soon... I can NOT feed him, even for his medication. That means, even if he retracts again this time, I have to completely separate him from Jelly Bean and keep him in a hospital tank until who knows when. I just don't know what to do-- I was told by various sources to fast him 7, 10, or even 15 days (as long as you can) but I always had to medicate him with the wax worm for the cocci once a week, and things seemed fine; after 8 days fasting (not including the wax worm on medication day) it was recommended by the vet who did the fecal testing to begin feeding him earth worm and wax worm in small amounts, which I did every other day. Apparently not a good idea. sHEila's the ONLY one to have a normal BM and yet the BMs are what's prolapsing him
Everyone else has diarrhea still... but they aren't prolapsing either. I'm scared to death what will happen when they do get normal poops! I looked up Dr. Frye's office for advice on the medicating if sHEila manages to withdraw the prolapse again, but they are closed until Monday at 8:00 A.M. and I have an appointment with the eye doctor that morning
I'm going to email him anyway (should have done it sooner but everyone's been down with a nasty bug) and hope he sees it at any rate.
I never had this problem with the PCFs... I'm just heartsick.![]()
