I have read the care sheet about whites a lot. I actually have this specific one in my favorites. However I slightly disagree on certain points in the toad care sheet. American Toads are very adaptable creatures and are very hardy. I disagree with the humidity portion. They need a little higher humidity in my opinion. My tank will not get over 82 and both animals can tolerate room temperature either as the low. I am very aware of the toad being toxic however the toad will not use this unless threatened so the odds of that happening now are highly unlikely. I am aware of both using the same water dish so I clean it frequent. I have an ideal setup right now for them and I am going to upgrade to a 36x18x36 so when they reach adulthood they have plenty of room. I am not saying I am an expert as many here know more than me however I am basing my opinion on how my animals are. I am going to get them examined and that may be the deciding factor. At this point I haven't considered moving anyone.
I highly respect you IRthumper and I really appreciate your opinion. I am open to other opinions and suggestions only if they are not criticizing me. I ask for the same respect in return. This is not directed at you IRthumper either
