    Default Fecal Exams?

First let me say nothing is wrong with my animals they are very active and healthy I need someone to help me find somewhere that will examine poo or whatever they want to look at to make sure they are both are ok. I understand the risks of mixing species and am against it mostly, in this case I had no other options at the time. I had these kinda Toads (American) for almost a decade before so I knew a lot if not all requirements for toad. I have had 3-4 other Tree Frogs before and knew many requirements. I read and did lots of research on the Whites before I did this around 8-10 months and asked lots of questions. I felt very confident in my decision and it's been 3 months and they are healthy and no problems. I will take the toad out if something occurs. I never did this before. Please do not post a negative comment only comments to help me to provide the best I can for these guys. Thank you

Well Larry; you are taking a huge risk, specially on your White's being exposed to a wild caught toad. A local herp veterinarian can conduct fecal exams. Can also get them done online at Repti-Labs - Fecal Float Testing. For Ranavirus or Chytrid tests can contact: Research Associates Laboratory. Good luck!
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

    Default Fecal Exams?

Thank you, I have to give the local vet a call to see if they do see amphibians. They aren't too far away which is good. I know it's a risk doing this and I know the danger of a WC animal as I don't know what it possibly has. To her credit out of almost 10 years of having toads she is the healthiest I have ever seen or had. I feel I was blessed to have saved such an awesome animal and her being the same size as my Whites was a plus. Like I said before I do not like mixing animals but I had to either let the toad go or take the whites back. I chose to keep both. Thank you for the links I really appreciate it.

Please... get your toad his own home White's tree frogs have vastly different needs and require MUCH warmer temps (between 77-85 F) than an American toad can handle safely. That and toads contain toxins in their paratoid glands which your Whites Tree Frog could become poisoned by

Please, read these care sheets and compare: American toad care sheet American Toad Care Sheet – Reptile Caresheets
White's tree frog care sheet: Frog Forum - White's Tree Frog Care - Litoria caerulea

I know what it's like to be concerned about the health and well being of one's frogs, and I am very concerned about the fate of your Whites Tree Frog in particular if you continue to house the two of them together...

    Default Fecal Exams?

I have read the care sheet about whites a lot. I actually have this specific one in my favorites. However I slightly disagree on certain points in the toad care sheet. American Toads are very adaptable creatures and are very hardy. I disagree with the humidity portion. They need a little higher humidity in my opinion. My tank will not get over 82 and both animals can tolerate room temperature either as the low. I am very aware of the toad being toxic however the toad will not use this unless threatened so the odds of that happening now are highly unlikely. I am aware of both using the same water dish so I clean it frequent. I have an ideal setup right now for them and I am going to upgrade to a 36x18x36 so when they reach adulthood they have plenty of room. I am not saying I am an expert as many here know more than me however I am basing my opinion on how my animals are. I am going to get them examined and that may be the deciding factor. At this point I haven't considered moving anyone.
I highly respect you IRthumper and I really appreciate your opinion. I am open to other opinions and suggestions only if they are not criticizing me. I ask for the same respect in return. This is not directed at you IRthumper either
