    Default ACF Filtration Rules?

I will be getting my ACF into a new 20 gallon long aquarium, and am looking for good filters. I'm used to heavy turtle filtering, but I'm not so sure about aquatic frog filtering parameters with regards to GPH or tank ratings (i.e., should I be using a filter rated for 40 gallons with a 20 long, or can I use a 20 gallon-rated filter with the 20 gallon tank since the frog is the sole occupant, and there are no plants, fish, substrate, etc.?). Also, any suggestions on filter styles are welcome--is a strong HOB filter going to work, or do I need something like a Tetra Whisper? (Although they are very similar in the first place).

    Thanks!

For a 20L would suggest a small/medium canister filter from Rena, Ehiem, or Fluval rated for at least a 40 gallon tank .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

Thank you very much for your reply. I like Rena most, from what I have seen so far.

Canister filters are your best bet for sure. These frogs are messy and they do a good job without much noise in the tank. Also canisters aren't bothered by having the water level a few inches down from the top. Which I highly recommend along with a secure lid, make sure any gaps in the lid are covered with screen or something. One of my frogs escaped the other night, thankfully I found her and she seems fine. I have a couple sponge filters in their tank too, I like the redundancy and they are cheap and easy to maintain.
