I just recently got four bumble toads from Josh's Frogs. I am excited but I was a bit surprised at how small they are. I knew they would be juveneiles but these guys could actually sit completely on a dime. I'm concerned because I am worried these guys will have hard time finding the fruit flies in their cage given the size o he enclosure and the size of the toads. Am I worrying for nothing?
Did you quarantine them before you added them to the enclosure? If not I would check out lynns amazing thread on it.

Quarantining the animals allows you to monitor their feeding and overall health. Also, when doing quarantine you may keep them in a smaller ”environment” so to speak. This is very useful with smaller animals that may have trouble hunting in such a large space. The time in quarantine also allows them to have time to grow and get ready for their new viv. If you haven't quarantined I would do so, it will help the frogs be able find their food easier and again, help you get fecal tests and monitor their health

Thank you. I wasn't aware that I needed to quarantine them. I thought that was only required for animals that were being added to an environment with other animals (of the same species) already established.
Its better to quarantine them allespecially when it comes to really young frogs

Do you think ten gallon would work better Or should I go even smaller?
You could do a 10 gallon, but I would go 5 for that small. As they get older I would upgrade them to a 10 gallon. Smaller is better for them right nowAlso, since you are feeding them fruit flies, I would put a very thin slice of banana in the tank to attract the fruit flies. This will also make it easier for the toads to find their food

I would leave them. Why not? They live in bigger areas in the wild. The bigger tank gives the toads more room to roam and set up territories. Don't worry, they will find the flies.

I would qt them at the very least. Fecals "should" be done, but since they were cb at Josh's, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Thanks for your help. I got a critter keeper yesterday andput some ABG mix in with some sphagnum and a small kidney shaped water dish in.I also put in a banana slice and a bunch of Melanogaster flies. I also have ahygrometer/thermometer setup to make sure things stay within the properspectrum. With this reduced space and the amount of flies I added there shouldn’tbe any reason for them not to find food!
Hey, I considered this but I am really nervous and I spent a lot of money ordering them. I would hate to have any of them die on me. You are right though, since they are CB from Josh's I am not too worried about disease.
