Large heat pads could possibly melt plastic terrariums, or so I've heard. You wouldn't have to worry about that with glass. Sorry the tank doesn't seem quite suitable for tree frogs, hopefully you'll find something else or a good deal on another terrarium if you have your heart set on tree frogs.
