Default Australia red eyed tree frog skin colour question

Hi, I recently got some Australian red eye tree frogs. I noticed on 1 of them he had lots of these brown dots on his lower part of the back and lighter ones around the other parts of his body. Before I bought them they recently went from the white stage to the green one. I was wondering if this has anything to do with that or if it's something else. ThanksName: 20141202_225030.jpg

    Hi,

    Welcome to Frog Forum,

Sometimes there is a temporary mottled look to their skin when changing color.
Temporary! This should even out and disappear as the frogs's color adjusts to temps/humidity/mood etc.
    Keep any eye on him!

If the spots do not go away --- should should seek the care of a herp vet.
If you notice this to be the case--- act quickly as they can become very ill very quickly.

Thanks for the feedback. How long should I wait to see if they go? A week, month? Days? Thanks. Also he has had it for about 3 - 4 days basically since I got him but didn't really notice it at the time.

    Very good question, thank you.
They should gain a nice even color in a several minutes.
This is based on my experience w A callidryas ( red eyed tree frogs ) and A moreletii ( black eyed tree frogs)

You have this species? There might be some good contacts here

No, the species is Litoria chloris. Also when you say it should take 7 minutes to go green, is this everyday he will go from the molted look to green or a once off change and won't ever look like the molted look again? Also during the day he goes a brighter green and the spots are harder to see but once he wakes up the spots/molted look really stands out. I'll keep you posted on if he changes for good or not.

No change in color, still molted. Eating fine, acting fine. Is it possible he just wont change?
