Looks like you ended up with a Rabbit's Foot Fern, False Aralia Olympia, and Schefflera. All good choices.

I'm pretty good with plants. I used to work at a very large plant nursery, and worked with pretty much everything under the sun. I was basically in charge of our aquatic and houseplants doing the watering, fertilization, ordering, maintaining, so on and so forth.

So you think the Olympia and Schefflera will do well in a viv? I was just going to try it and, in the case of failure, give it to my Dad in a regular pot.

Absolutely. They both do well in humid environments, just make sure you have adequate drainage for the Schefflera in particular. It has been known to drop leaves and turn to yellow quickly when too wet. Other than that, I wouldn't worry too much.

If you need help with the supplies for drilling/drainage let me know.
There is a thread around with instructions, photos of the supplies and part #s- from Home Depot.

For the gravel - or dry stream- ask Paul digitalpunk he did something like this recently.

Check out Paul's and Bill's build threads.

Do you, by any chance, know where I can see an example of mini mondo in a vivarium or terrarium. It's not that I don't trust you, I just want to see what it would look like!

Just thought I'd show what design I decided to stick with. I might take the whole tank apart, buy new glass, and make it taller. Also might add a waterfall and background, but funds are low right now, so I'm sticking with this for now.

    Good Morning ,
I do have some growing in 2 enclosures.

I'll PM you w/ the information you need to view both photos.

I am unable to upload photos at this time....as we are still ironing out some knots.
    It has been reported.

I actually may have some potted / stored on the plant rack of which is being saved for another build I'm planning.
It does really well w lots of water at it's feet. Perhaps it's not the plant you were expecting to see??? Bill would know.

I'd hate to post another thread considering I've posted so many, so I'll post this here. I have two questions. Let's say I decided to make a background with net cups added to it, would I only be able to grow broms and air plants or can I grow other things? Also, what kind of light would I need in order for an African violet to bloom? Would I need more than my T8, T12, and LED? I read that flowers need more red light. Lynn got me looking at African Violets. XD

Ummm, I believe that the net cups are intended for plants that aren't air plants. Bromeliads and other air plants are usually pinned or attached to wood or backgrounds. If planted, they usually rot and die. So to answer your question, yes you can grow other things with net cups, in fact you're supposed to I'm not sure about flowering, my mini violet hasn't flowered yet, but typically LED and t5HO yield the best results.

Hmmmm, I don't really have experience with the LED bulbs, only the strips, like this one from Beamsworks: Amazon.com : BeamsWork 18"-22" Single Bright Power LED Aquarium Light Fixture 300 : Pet Supplies

One day I'll own a beamswork. I'm just using what I can for now. Waiting for my "reptile and amphibian fund" to be a little higher. Right now the max is food for them. Lol I'm just wanting information for the future.

While I have all you plant people here, should I buy a 36 inch beamswork light or two of these http://m.ebay.com/itm/360751269469?n...=630165023665? I'd buy the 30 watt, cool white, and 120 volt light. I'm building a VERY tall tank. 4 feet tall and 3 feet wide. What ever light I get will be accompanied by my two T8 lights, mainly because I don't want them to go to waste. Lol

if it were me, i would get the beamswork. especially since other than wattage, there are no specs for the floods. height of a tank means little to an led light since they are essentially individual, mini spot lights. no light available gets the penetration that led's do.
