Ok get some terbinafine hydrochloride cream (Lamisil), mix 1 ml of it to 200 ml of distilled water. Let the solution sit over night because the cream is slow to dissolve. Soak him in it for 10 minutes daily for the next ten days. See if this helps.

My tiger salamander was acting lethargic and sloughing skin off in a weird kind of way. I thought it might be a fungal infections so I treated him with this solution. After a few days, he was more active, the skins shed off, and he began to look normal. I don't know what it was, but this treatment did the trick. He now leaps for his food again.

Thank you so much! I'm going to try this. I'm uploading pictures as we speak. This is the first one that I can upload. Ironic as it is, I'm having a hard time pulling pics from my pro. camera, so this will have to do for now.

    Kurt -

Thank you so much. We started the treatment, and finally found a vet who would take a look! Drove two hours (quite a ride for little Kibbits) to get him checked out this afternoon. Sadly, he doesn't know what's going on. He's never seen it before!

So he told us to do exactly what you said, and then in addition, do an antibiotic treatment.

He is particularly concerned with the new little green spots on Kibbits back. Has anyone seen this before with White's? We googled it, and it seems like other owners have experienced the exact same thing: lethargy, not eating, film over the eyes, and green spots?

Anyway, please let me know if anyone has seen this before, and if so, how they treated the mysterious green spots. And obviously, we'll definitely report back if the fungal/anti-biotic treatment does the trick! Thank you again!!! And cross your fingers. We don't want to lose the little guy!!!

    Sincerely
    Sarah
