Very nice setup and cute little toads.

My fiance told me they saw a bunch of toadlets at the park today. I'm tempting to go and catch me a few

Thanks. I recently changed the set-up a bit. I now have them in a 10 gallon tank instead of the 5.5 gallon pictured. I also took out the water and some of the leaf litter.
I have to find a new substrate, the crickets just find any hole possible and disappear.
They are eating like voracious little monsters now. The minute I tip some fruit-flies into the tank they go to town on the buggers(no pun intended).

Great job sachmn, sounds like you've made them comfortable and have settled in well.

What exactly is a B. americanus Metamorph? I know what a B. americanus is, but the metamorph thing has me puzzled. Does it simply mean they were tadpoles just a little while ago and have recently changed into toadlets?

They sure are tiny! Really cute!

Yea, they are toadlets. I've seen 'metamorph' used before and 'toadlet' used before, I wasn't sure which term was more proper/exact or if they were interchangeable.

    Somewhat interchangable.
