Default Re: Calling All White's Tree Frog Owners... A Few Care Questions

-Where do you live? (state or general location, want to get an idea on region/weather, etc.)
A fairly warm and humid place in the American SE.

-How many WTFs do you have?
    2
    -Do they live together?
    Not yet
-Did you quarantine your frogs when you first got them? Yes

--If yes, how long and under what conditions? Long as I've had them
    --if no, why not?

-What age are your frogs? (Baby, sub-adult, adult if you don't know exact age
    Bonk: Sub-adult, Julep: Baby
-Where did you get your frogs?
Bonk: Pet Smart, Julep: LLLReptile Mail order
-How old were they when you got them?
    No idea

-Are your frogs WC (wild caught) or CB (captive bred) Bonk: No idea, Julep: CB

    -What sex are your frogs?
    Bonk: Male, Julep: ?
-What type of insects do you feed?
Crickets, dubias, earthworms when I can find them
-How often? Bonk: one large cricket every other day/two days, or 4-5 small dubias every other day/ two days, Julep: Every day, 5-6 small crickets, OR 2 small dubias plus 2-3 small crix
    -How many at a time?

    -Dusted? Yes
--If yes, with what and how often? Repashy plus. Bonk: Every other feeding, Julep: Every day
    --If no, why not?

-Do you feed by bowl, by hand, or "free range"?

Yes. Julep is fed by bowl mostly, Bonk has stopped accepting tweezer feeding mostly. I let crickets roam free in the quarantine tank or put dubias in a shallow bowl.
    -What time do you feed?
Bonk: Evening, Julep: spaced out evening and morning
-How active are your frogs? (Sedentary/not at all, slightly, a lot) Bonk: Nearly sedentary. Clings to the side of the tank most days. Quick dip in the bowl at night. Julep: Slightly active, awake sometimes during the day
--When/what time are your frogs most active?
    Evening
-Describe your frog's enclosure set up and care regime- include type/size of enclosure, lighting, heat, humidity, water for soaking and misting, substrate, when and how often you spot clean & deep clean, where the enclosure is located, etc. Bonk: 25 gal. vertical storage bin. Paper towel substrate. Climbing bamboo and fluker's plant on side. Mini reptitherm heater on side, thermo/hygrometer, heat lamp suspended overhead, space heater nearby. Humidity maintained with a spray bottle. Water bowl changed every day, paper towels changed every two days, spot clean/wipe down as needed. -Where do your frogs spend most of their time IN their enclosure (on the ground, in hides, up as high as they can get, etc)
Bonk: Daytime clings to wall, near top, hiding behind plant OR hiding underneath water dish. Julep: Sits on paper towel out in the open, climbs/sleeps in plant, soaks in dish, or just sits in foodbowl
-Do your frogs spend a lot of time in the substrate, burrowing? Bonk: hides under water dish, Julep: sits on paper towel a lot.
--Have you seen your frog ingest substrate? No. After missing a cricket, Bonk tried to chew the towel once. He couldn't
--If yes, what was the result?

-Do your frogs spend a lot of time in the water dish soaking? Julep does
--If yes, how often would you say they spend in the water? 10-20 mins 3-4x daily

-What is your water like? (tap, spring, well, bottled, etc) Tap
--If you treat your water, with what? Aqua safe for reptiles
    --if you don't, why not?

-Do you handle your frogs? Yes
--If yes, explain how and how often. When I need to take them to the vet, or give them a warm bath to ease impaction.

-What color are your frogs usually? Green
--When they change color what do you think usually brings it on? As far as I can tell, cold, damp, a dark background and stress are all factors.
--How long does the color change usually last? It's never a full color change and only lasts a few minuites

-Have your frogs experienced any medical issues? Bonk had a lot of protozoa
--If yes, what was it and what did you do to fix (or try to fix) the Vet ordered methinozole(?) dripped on his skin
    --What was the result?

Protozoa still present, seeming personality change, greater fearfulness
