Unhappy Baby pacman frog rarely eats

Since i got him (november 2) he has only ate 2 dubia roaches at about 6-12 days apart. He kinda looks skinny and looks he has as if he still has a bit of his tail left. If he was getting skinny wouldn't he kinda look like he has a tail? The guy i bought him from said he feed him 1 pinkie mouse and wouldn't he be hungry by know.
Everything in his tank is perfect so should i switch to some other feeder? Thanks

First off, answer the questions in this sticky. It's the only way to get a better idea of what's going on

    http://www.frogforum.net/pacman-frog...enclosure.html

I think what you're seeing is probably the frog's tailbone. They usually aren't sold when they are young enough to have tails still. Also, it's not a great idea to feed young ones mice (and adults should eat no more than one mouse a month) because of high fat content and impaction issues. Young ones should be eating every day to every other day, so something is clearly off.

Dubia roaches are okay feeders, but nightcrawlers are better. You can cut the worm into chunks the size of the space between the frog's eyes.

Or you could answer the questions in that link I posted so you can figure out what's wrong... When a pac won't eat it's usually because something is wrong with the cage setup (and honestly, it sounds like you may have gotten bad information on how to care for them) or because of impaction (severe constipation; if you can feel a hard lump on the frog's side this is usually the problem), both of which can be fixed very easily.

Okay, so if you gently feel the frog's right side can you feel a lump? That would be a sign of impaction, which is what this could be. If you want, you can put a few drops of honey into a bowl of lukewarm dechlorinated water and sit the frog in it for 20 minutes or so. If it's an impaction this will help it poo, and if not it doesn't harm or stress the frog.

Another potential problem; do you have something solid (like construction paper or a tank background) covering 3 sides of the tank? Being able to see out in all directions can frighten some young ones into not eating.

Also, can you post a picture of the frog? Nothing big enough to eat a pinkie mouse should still have a tail.
