After successfully getting pinheads to hatch, I noticed a change in the looks of my dart frog (D. auratus) and for the better. I thought maybe he would not be able to catch all the pinheads before they escaped into the substrate but from the looks of his plumper physique not many escape. I have another batch being started at the zoo. My mealworm colony is starting to cycle back into producing worms so will try some of those on my tiger sallies. Off to the OKC Reptile Show this weekend and hope there is a fruit fly guy there so I can culture these again. Forgot about the last batch until too late. Don't know if I'll buy anything because I am trying to buy a kayak. Hummm! frog or kayak....we'll see.
Frog every time!
Definitely, without a doubt, undeniably, the frog! How silly to even ponder whether you should get a frog or something else.
We've been feeding pinheads to our darts for over a year now.
We breed lots and feed lots.
I've never seen one escape the frogs.
Two frogs and money left over for a kayak. Yippee!
