    Default Overkill?

Is a light such as the one above enough for growing sheet moss, asparagus fern, and "Baby Tears"? Could I get away with something cheaper? I'm new to growing plants.

How big of a space are you growing in? I use beamswork freshwater LED from aquatraders on all of my tanks and love it. Color temperature of 6500k. That, in the link, is just the hood, no bulbs, so you'd have to buy those also.

I just looked up the beamswork led light. It says that it has 180 lumens. How important are lumens to a plants growth?

The beamswork 36 inch would be great for that. I'm not sure about the lumens, but it's what I have used on mine and have great plant growth. 2 of my tanks are 24 inches tall and one is 16 inches tall (just plants) and all 3 of them are doing really well.

Though I forgot to mention that it is 36 inches tall 16 inches long and 11 inches long.

Let me just try to figure this out though, it's 36 inches tall? 16 inches long? and 11 inches deep? Get whatever would match the length of the tank then and put it on the top. The 18 inch long would be a little long but should work out. I have that on my 24" tall hex tank.

Yes, it's actually a cabinet I had laying around that I decided to turn into a vivarium. I just sealed the wood. Thank you. I've been trying to figure this out for a while, but I have no experience growing plants. XD

    LED Aquarium Lighting by BeamsWork

There you go. The light itself is 18 inches, so there will be a little extra on each side. If you wouldn't like the look of that, we can look for different options. It's just hard to beat the price of the beamswork.

Thank you so much. XD That's perfect. The little extra on each side won't hurt at all. I looked up videos of them, they look so bright!
