Ahhhh, yeah. For us it's the Dept of Fish and Wildlife... we're not allowed to keep our state's native frogs for pets either, OR Grays or American greens, BUT they allow Cuban tree frogs here, a big invasive species which lives in the same area as Grays and Am. Greens and EATS them! *shakes head* Makes no sense at all, I would love to have Grays too!
I would recommend Milk frogs as a possibility but they can get big too, particularly the females!
