I sometimes feed wild-caught black soldier flies if i find them during the summer. Adults dont have mouth parts so them eating or ingesting anything toxic or dangerous is unlikely. Easy to breed too

I think they are marketed under the brand as calci worms. I'm pretty sure you've probably heard or seen it.

You can feed them other insects but not crickets in the wild, because I've heard that they are potential disease carriers.
