I have been using coco fiber. I was wondering if sand was a better option. Thank you for your advice. The reason for inquiry was because i wanted to use it as a substrate/ filter kind of like a sump on one side with a pump pulling water from the bottom. Aside from impaction issues, would there be any other issues ?
If the sand is underwater or the toads cant walk on it then it would be okay. As long as the top layer is digestible substrate or something too large to be swallowed
