    Default New tank

Starting to cycle my new FBT tank. Excited to get these guys in here. Theres a filter and heater in the back corner. It cascades down the wood like a waterfall. Going to add a bunch of guppies and plants in the substrate and maybe a bristlenose pleco too at some point.

Looks interesting, will be great with some aquatic plants growing out of the water too, but be ready to loose some guppies to hungry toads, and also they may suffer from the excretions from the toads skin, partial water changes will help with that. Of course if you breed the toads, the fish may get their own back on the tadpoles.
Also OFBT don't like it to warm.

Hard to tell from pic, but you might want to consider adding some more land for them. The addition of some aquatic plants would look good too.

Yes the guppies would mostly be a supplemental food source to the toads that I will continuously replenish. Definitely going to get some water plants in a few weeks once it cycles a bit.

I would definitely stay away from the Bristlenose Pleco.

I have one that's about 7-8 years old, and he's tears into anything that touches him. They have those spines in their nose that shoot out, Wolverine style. And they HURT.
I can only imagine what those spines could do to a frog.

    Nice looking tank

I had a bunch of guppies in my tank for a few months and nothing happened, they always tried to hunt the without successes. Has anyone ever seen them eat guppies ?

Thanks! Did you end up removing the guppies or did they just die off?

Whoa thanks for the warning about the bristlenose. I'll definitely be looking elsewhere for my algae clean up. Maybe a big ol' snail.

Plant wise I'm thinking of getting a few Dwarf Sagittaria Subulata and letting them grow in a bit.
