Size: 63.3 KBWhat is the problem. What am i doing wrong? Please help me. I feed this frog since 4 months. I feed him dubia, morio and meal worms. I use coconut peat for bedding. I use calcium dust regularly. I guess this is an infection. But i don't know what to do. This swelling sometimes appear and sometimes disappear. No problem in eating or defecation. I disinfect terrarium three times and change bedding media. What else can I do to heal. In my country vets are inexperienced about frogs.

Are there any wounds near or around these swollen areas? You say sometimes they reduce in size and then swell again?

What is the temperature in the frog's enclosure?

This makes me think of a cat I used to have. He was an alley cat for a long time (thus the untreated wound) but he had this place that would swell and then go back to normal over and over, and it turned out that it was a minor infection that had stayed under the skin when a wound healed.
When I see swelling I automatically think infection, but the fact that it's so close to the eyes with no eye infection makes me think it may not be an infection... Sorry I don't have anything more helpful to say

Thank you for your answer. There is no wound or red area. Her eyes bright and healty.Terrariums temperature ranges between 77 to 80 degrees. Yes, sometimes swelling nearly disapper. But somedays it looks like Rocky Balboa. I thought maybe there is a problem with what she eats. I stop giving her meal worms, swelling disappered. But swelled again after three days.(I'm sorry for my poor english.)

    Hello!
It is difficult to understand (at a distance) what's the problem.
Need to show the terrarium where he lives Pacman.
Maybe the frog is injured on objects in the terrarium.
Theoretically, need a X-ray image and medical consultation (profile).

If you put him in lukewarm water and he pees, does the swelling on the head remain or go away? It's not a normal place for them to store fluids, but I wonder if he could be storing fluid there, since it's not abnormal for them to puff up a bit when they're retaining water.
