I've read various answers to this question so I thought I would ask it here. Do ADF's require filtration? I've also read multiple things about heating, but most of what I read says heaters are necessary.

I would do a filter to keep the water quality up. ADFs are still amphibians and they are still sensitive to things in the water such as ammonia.

I use an Aquaclear hob filter for the frog tank, and use a heater during the winter months.
I set up my tank with a filter and heater over the weekend![]()
It depends on total biomass and if tank is planted or not. You got a big well planted tank with couple ADF and can probably get away with water changes only to keep nitrates below 25ppm. However, for a normal smaller tank with few frogs, a small HOB (the small Aquaclears) or a large in tank foam filter work good.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
Definitely a good idea to go with filtration for your tank. HOB filters are easier to maintain in general.
