get nightcrawlers - anywhere they sell fishing supplies. dubia are better then crickets, less chitin, but not all frogs like them, they are slower then crickets.
Wait for 2-3 poops, if all ok then you can carry on whatever you were feeding

Ok, good to know with the less chitin. I checked out some superworms at Petsmart the other day but they were just as bad as a mealy, thought I read somewhere they were softer *shrugs*. Are Dubia true roaches? I saw a pic of someone feeding some to their WTFs in a FB post and they look like big isopods/sowbugs...

Yes, they are true roaches. They will not breed unless you set up breeding though, so no worries about them infesting the house.

Superworms really aren't any better than mealies. A little more meat to chitin than mealworms, but same risks and high fat.

I'd do your best to get the night crawlers, I'd be thrilled if my frogs would eat them. I'm stuck feeding crickets though lol.

Yuck! But whatever froggies want, lol... I'll see if I can find a few dubais, if they don't like them I'll find someone else who can use them :P Read recently from a FF member about silk worms being good and having naturally anti-inflammatory properties, how about those? Will definitely round up earth worms, nice thing about them is if they don't like those I'll just over winter them and add them to the community garden come spring

Oh no, escaped crickets! Also check back at your wal mart in case they restock. Mine was out of nightcrawlers for a while because they'd gotten a bad shipment but they recently restocked.

Silkworms are really weird feeders, they have lots of good stuff, but bad stuff they do have too. They contain thiaminase and are on vet warning list for better-not- feed. Beardies and chams owners swear by them however.

I Always better take safer route and say its better to avoid these if in question. By the way most frogs won't eat these anyway, they don't move much and look weird probably from frog perspective.

you can also try hormworms, not a lot, one may be every now and then if they eat.

Ok, mealies, super worms and silk worms off the menu. Well guess what, I went to Wallys tonight and they DID have worms-- Canadian night crawlers to be exact, BUT-- every single container was frozen solid as a rock! Wormsicles, ugh!!!
