Can someone educate me on the care for Ruby Eyed Tree Frogs?
I'm assuming you mean uluguru forest frogs? (goes by several names, ruby eyed moon frogs, etc.) I did a lot of research into these babies before I bought my red eyes. Their care is not too complicated, but they have never been bred in captivity. So every one that you find on the market is wild caught. Personally, I chose not to get them for multiple reasons. By buying them, I am encouraging someone to deplete their natural numbers by catching them to ship and sell them. During the shipping process, a lot of them do not make it. Second, chances are high of introducing some kind of fungus/virus/parasite into my home and possibly my other frogs. You have to be incredibly meticulous when caring for a wild caught frog when you have other frogs in the house.
Here is a thread I started about them several months back that should give you some insight - http://www.frogforum.net/tree-frogs/...guruensis.html
