Hello and welcome to the forum! Hope you enjoy it here and post some builds!
0.1.0 Psuedacris regilla
Hi all, I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Christophe and I currently live in Auckland, New Zealand. This is somewhat unfortunate as I love love pretty much all reptiles and amphibians and down here we are only allowed a very small number of different species. Luckily I did live in the USA for a small amount of time where I was able to keep some more exotic species. I have owned and breed basically all the exotic species we can get here. I love building living vivariums and am currently planning a 6ft tree frog build! I love it all and am more than happy to help people with anything relating to the species I have kept here in NZ, just flick me a pm.

Welcome here.
Though it must be very frustrating not being able to work with many species, you do realize you live in New-Zealand, and almost every other reptile enthousiast in this world thinks of it like the golden city of Eldorado, right?
Man what we would do to be able to go searching in the wild for Naultinus sp. and Tukutuku rakiurae, or Tuatara's or..., well anything else that's endemic to NZ...
It must be awesome to live there, if you want to swap houses for a few month's and see what Belgium is like, give us a call. Haha...
Wich species did you keep if we may ask?
Best regards.
Hello and welcome to FF! Yes, do start a build thread for that 6 footer in the Vivarium section.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
Sure!! Would love to swap hahahaha. Im yet to keep any endemic species as it is incredibly hard to obtain a permit for native species. Ive kept water dragons, bearded dragons, blue tongues, various amphibians, leopard geckos. Very few species we are able to keep :/ Also soo many laws around disturbing them in the wild and severe punishments for doing it
Welcome aboard!![]()
Yeah we are aware of it.
But if you ask us, it's no wonder NZ takes hardcore action against it, if you see wich amounts one of your native animals can fetch on the European, Asian and American Black market.
It's such a shame people always seem to must have those that they can't get, and are willing to destroy everything in their pads to get what they want.
