    updated photos...now try guessing? lol
    theres even two where he got angry and stuck his throat out a little lol. he is still calling nightly and has been for 6 months now, since we got him. now that we have phones that can take videos ill try to record him calling lol.

    I believe I have made the ID, I believe you frog is a brown Hyla squirella.

    Kurt may be right. Here is a link to a website at the University of Florida that gives information on Florida frogs and toads. The link is the page for the squirrel tree frog and there is a link about midway down with a sound file.

    Check out the calls for the Pinewoods tree frog as well. My only hesitation is that it is pretty large for a male of either species.

    It's large enough to be a barking tree frog, but they don't typically have smooth skin. Perhaps you could listen to all the calls on the site for treefrogs (including the cuban, even though the toe pads doen't look large enough) to rule out any from the southeast U.S.

    ty ty ty soooo much... now if i can only find him a girlfriend! as much as i like to hear his calling EVERY night lol... have no sound on my work computer but when i get home i will try listen. I will also try record him calling if i can so you guys can double check me stupidity ... thats much guys... maybe now i should move him to a tank away frog the green treefrogs that he was supposed to be lol! XD

    Just out of curiosity, does your frog have any yellowish flashmarks on the back of its thighs?
