Hm. I know all about how to bring animals from states, done multiple times, no sure how the other way around. You need to call US border fish and wildlife officer of a port you will be using and ask to advise.
I believe milks are not listed on CITES, shouldn't be a problem.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
You are correct - they are not listed on CITES. I checked there, and on the Border control regulations pages, and it shouldn't be a problem. I just want to be on the safe side when it comes to animals and the border.
Do I declare them when I cross? Have they ever inspected your animals to ensure the transportation is "humane"? I keep seeing that there may be an inspection

I've never transported frogs from Canada to US, there might be different regulations then from US to Canada.
it's pretty easy to do from states for non CiTES animals. Just call that officer, US side will know what do you need in your case and will even help you fill the paperwork. inspection for pets usually only to make sure you have a frog and not cobra. Lol
And yes, you do declare on a border on both sides, Canadian and US. And before travel it is the best to talk to that officer, tell him/her when you will be crossing so they are aware. However it seems every port has a bit different rules. Not once I was stopping with declaration and they were looking at me what is it I want exactly, I was telling I need a stamp right there, they would put it and see ya.

You could check with a broker. I think the guys from W2C had some material on this. Check https://w2c.ca/en/consultation/consu...ms-compliance/ if you're still interested.
