Hey I'm just wondering if my pacmans' enclosure temp actually has to drop down at night. The enclose has an uth and is set to about 88. It's kind of high because my house is kind of cool and the UTH doesn't actually ever get that high it probably hits 84-86. And I know at night it cools so it may drop to about 74 or so. Is this okay? Or does it need to drop more at night? Thanks
Hi and welcome to the forum!
88 Is too high, you want 80-82 day and 76-78 night.
where do you have your UTH? What are you measuring temp with and there?
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
It's on half the tank. And I'm using a thermostat to regulate the temp and the probe for the thermostat is underneath the tank on the outside of the uth
If you say what I think you do.... And you have UTH under tank you have to take it off asap! Never place it under, only on a side.
What is a reasoning for putting a probe outside the Tank?
put the probe in a dead centre of the back wall about 2,5" above the substrate, Get accurate thermometer and hydrometer to take the readings.
