Hello! So here is my story, for months my boyfriend and I have been wanting to get a frog, specifically a Waxy, and we did all of our research for it, and we planned on getting a full adult. However, things changed and the Waxy we wanted was sold.
But fate has a way of working out. I work at Petsmart, and little to my knowledge, after working there for three years, our feeder fish sometimes come with... tadpoles!! The petcare manager has ended up with seven in the years that she's worked there, and she said she has raised them all into adult frogs, which has either been a Leopard Frog (majority) and a Bullfrog (minority.) I'm not sure where our feeder fish come from, but I'm assuming somewhere here in Arizona since that is where corporate and our warehouses are. Anyway, I decided to take that little guy home, but a few things are concerning me.
I don't know the first thing about tadpoles, adult frogs on the other hand, yes. I've done my fair share of research on the care of tadpoles, and he seems to be happy. He's a very active tadpole, and sometimes I'm afraid he will leap out of the water and his tank!
My questions are, mainly... What the heck is he!? I'm just dying to know!! Also, how long it will take for him to change (cause this will be my first time EVER seeing a frog change), how to tell the sex, and if there are some tips you folks have to keeping them happy and healthy!
So, without further ado~
My tadpole, Keroppi!
And I do want to make sure that this hole in his side, is in fact his spiracle?
Thanks so much for all your help and advice!!

Hello and welcome to the forum! It looks like a bullfrog tadpole to me, he/she is huge! They do not have spiracles like insects, but gills. If you have any other questions don't be afraid to ask
