Moving my toad out of her exo terra 12x12, she went through some weird growth spurt and is a little too big gor a 12x12 now. I was goong to move the toad into a regular 10 gallon aquarium, but are there better aquariums? Or do all of you guys just use the 'standard' aquariums? (By standard aquariums I mean tgose glass ones with the black borders)
"Look on the wall behind you. Look at that little girl's face. I know you've seen it. But you know what she's never going to be able to see? She's never going to be able to see the simple wonder of a leaf in her hand. Because there's not going to be any trees. Now you think about that."

Standard aquariums; myself get 20L at Petco's dollar a gallon sale. They can fit most adult toads with room to spare. You can use the ten as an in between; if a male might be fine in there for a long time.

Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
20L all the way, my 3"ish male is in a 20 standard right now and I feel he could use more floor space. Got a 20L recently haven't gotten around to cleaning it and setting it up yet.

I use a terrarium designed by a Danish team here called "Tropeakvarier" (tropic aquariums)
which design aquariums and terrariums. I bought a used 50L terrarium of their design with
glass walls, black protective bottom and a black framed lid where the film top is fine mesh.
Keep my two Bufo bufos there.
Otherwise I have a 50L standard aquarium from a starter kit where I keep my two Duttaphrynus
melanostictus.
I don't want any slide side glas terrariums, cause of drafts. I want them long
so the guys have some ground to walk on (already I feel 50L is too small as they roam alot). And
I love the topmesh so they have fresh air always![]()
Mine is 35 gallon. My two Anaxyrus Americanus love it in there! They use all of the space provided too!
