I'm in the brainstorming stage on revamping Bluebell's home.

-- it was/is a 10 gal tank I had when I got him, and I knew he'd need height so I made a top of wood and window screen (I can cover it with vinyl when more humidity is needed -- but I'd like to make something out of Plexiglass or PVC pipe and vinyl (I saw something like this at PetSmart once but they no longer carry them and they were expensive).

Are PVC, Plexiglass, and/or vinyl OK for frogs? Or do they put out harmful chemicals?

I recently had hernia surgery so a lightweight top would be easier for me to deal with, if it'd be OK for Bluebell.

Another alternative would be to convert a 20g to a tall tank, but it would definitely be heavy to carry (I carry my tanks outside to wash them). Maybe I need to do different cleaning methods.

I might try the plastic tub idea -- it would certainly be lightweight, and I have a Dremel tool so I can cut stuff and drill, sand rough edges, and all of that easily enough.

Eagerly awaiting ideas like a froggy awaiting bugs!
