First of, your frogs would die for a big water section! I have one myself and she LOVES the water! You could make the bottom of the tank all water with a hidden filter and foam up the sides for land sections. My frog spends almost all night swimming in the water. If I were you I would ditch all of the ideas and just go for an all water base with rocks in the water and foam for land and plants like I said! :-)
