Default Whites Tree Frog Vivarium .. Take 2.

    Here we go again.

Well since my Whites are in froggie hospital and finally are getting the medication they need so I can deworm them.. I am rebuilding their vivarium. It will have at least a month to grow out, so hopefully it will be fairly lush by the time they're clear to be added back in.

I decided to just forget about the foam background. I did add a false bottom though, I'm doing the hardscape now, plants will be added tonight or tomorrow maybe.

The slope to the water I am just going to use rocks to hide the eggcrate. I am going to paint the outside of the back of the glass black. I may paint the sides too, not sure yet.

For substrate I am using a mix of peat moss and potting soil covered in eco-earth. I have a small internal filter and a water heater under the eggcrate to keep the water warm to maintain humidity.

Thanks Bill, I think I want to add a bigger fern(s) here. I want to create some sense of depth.. any ideas to spruce it up a bit are welcome.

Here's what I have right now, I suppose it has a month to grow in, I want to add some more plants though to make it feel more filled in.

Thanks guys! Well that was fast.. I took a trip to Walmart and got some more plants to fill it in.

I just need to paint the back of the tank black and I am done.

They're pretty wedged in there, should be alright. I know WTF are pretty good at rearranging stuff..

This is the finished product, I am pretty happy with it. I added a small glass bowl for in-tank feeding.

Final additions were some ivy (grows on my brick house lol), and some basil, which will probably rot.. but I wanted to get that Eco-Earth smell out, it's nasty.

Check out that huge Ficus I bought at Walmart, in the window. I figured it would not fit but it looks so nice I will find a spot in the house for it.
