    Default First time

Hey guys. I've been a reptile guy for a few years now, but dart frogs have really caught my eye lately.
I'm getting my first frogs tomorrow, a group of four leucs from Josh's frogs.

Very excited to get into the amphibian world!

Thanks! I think I'm set! I have a 24x24x24 enclosure from pvccages.com with a radiant heat panel. I just planted it. Joshs frogs has been my crutch in learning about setups and these awesome animals.
I have a small qt ready to go as well.

    Welcome to the forum!

I love Leucs! So jealous of you for getting some lol. QTing the frogs for 30 days is critical and I am so happy to hear you are planning to do that!

I saw your viv post, and it looks really good! Just keep in mind that Leucs are quite arboreal, so adding branches (of appropriate type of course) really makes them more comfortable. Another thing I saw is that you need leaf litter! This is crucial for any dart frog, as they eat off the floor of the viv, and may ingest soil or moss without it. It also adds a level of comfort, as the frogs will have lots of little shaded spots on the ground to hide under. I would recommend having at least 50% of the floor covered in leaf litter. You can order it online if need be.

You got it. I definitely wanted to add more branches; I'll be sure to add more leaf litter as well. Thanks!
