Here is a short "video" I made with my phone at work last night. The heavy flooding of the Missouri River has many amphibians farther inland to breed this year. The little fellas in this clip were all either on the ground or roughly 6 to 8 feet off the ground. I did not have a flashlight with me, so was unable to spot them in action to get pictures. Will remedy that problem tonight...
Pardon the quality, this was made strictly to get the calls. the background noise is the factory I work at.
And before any of you ghost nuts get going...they are called fireflies people...watch the video carefully and you will see what I mean.
Watching FrogTV because it is better when someone else has to maintain the enclosure!
Yes, that's Hyla chrysoscelis. Subtly different to Hyla versicolor - H. chrysoscelis has a faster thrill of a higher pitch.

Interesting, is there a link with chrysocelis and versicolor back to back to hear the difference anywhere on this site?
No but there is a Hyla versicolor chorus recording in the Gray Tree Frog article.

i just played the video and it got my GTF's calling. lol
Very nice. Interesting that I watch fireflies online at a forum, since I don't have any in my backyard in the city. Video was almost as good as being out there.
