nope, I am talking about the colour variations which are called mutant:

If that is what you mean then it is most likely from inbreeding to many times. The only way that we can try to prevent them is getting more wild frogs and then captive breeding them to get a better genetic variation.

IMHO, inbreeding is in most cases just an easy excuse trying to justify more wild caught frogs. But this is another topic.

Oh, I see what you mean, there are more popping up because we are learning about genetics and color mutations more and more with the new tech that we have. These are still genetic mutations, but most of the time they are not harmful.

They are not coming from the same breeder and that is helping bring the price down... but still very costly compared to normals .

I agree, at this point you will probably have more luck getting a mutation like that through breeding and using it to get the colors you want
