Can anyone help identify these frogs/tadpoles? I live in Virginia in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. These tadpoles were in a puddle by school. One turned yesterday and has lost his stub today. I ordered some pinhead crickets so he can try to eat tomorrow... and I'm getting rid of the gravel. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated! (I kept 5 tadpoles and the 1 frog... the rest returned to the aforementioned puddle.)

Maybe some better photos would help? Someone told me they are bullfrogs... does this look right to you?

I dont believe those are bull frogs but maybe if i were to say id call them some sort of tree frog look up frogs found in virginia and see if u can identify those little dudes![]()
Thanks! I think I've narrowed it down to 7 possibilities. Haha. Pinewoods tree frog would make sense based on where I live. And he stays on the top of the wall most of the time.
Could they be toads?

they're most likely toads since the tadpoles were jet black, seemed to have more medially placed eyes
