I was just looking inside one of my Bakhuis Mtn Dart Frog Vivs and all of a sudden a very small froglet came hopping into view. now normally that is not unusual but usually the parents lay their eggs in a petri dish and I gather them and allow them to develop. apparently the parents decided they were gonna give it a try and did not need any help from me.. I have decided to leave any froglets that may be in there alone and see how they do

Yes, pics please! That will work, just make sure there are lot's of springtails in enclosure and feed the little ones smaller wingless D. melanogaster.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
Pics or it didnt happen![]()
ok im a little late with the picture but as I found out later there were actually 2 froglets that these guys managed to hide away and both are doing really great ( I decided to leave them in with the parents )
pictures are not so great (cell phone)also I have found I need to leave a water dish in this particular tank because every now and then they drop off a tad

Did you figure out where the tadpoles were living during development?
I can honestly say that I have no idea. They did not place them in the water dish because I check it and replace the water every other day. Currently there is a tad in the dish and I am going to leave it to develop. There are no other pools of water that I am aware of, I have false bottoms in all my tanks and I siphon the water every weekend. That is why it is a mystery to me......
