This is a very confusing ?
I would have had no idea what W. T. F meant!
However I did understand it was obviously a typo. That was no big deal to me.

To determine if the bugs are harmful, you will have to post a photo of the bugs and they will have to be identified.
It's very simple - they are reproducing from/in something CURRENTLY in the enclosure
If you don't want the bugs .........follow the above directions --- to get rid of them completely !
I would not use dry ice......It would kill all live plants.......it may cost you more than new substrate?
If you have live plants they need to be bleached dipped as describe as they could have un-seen insect or insect larvae on them.
Perhaps someone has a better idea
