When I was asking a few people I knew about vets, someone said something similar - that the temps were throwing him off, making him think it was time to lay low and just chill (almost literally) for a while. Someone else also mentioned that he might possibly not like the tongs - maybe he hit it or something while eating and doesn't want to snap at them anymore. They're soft, but I guess if he hit them just right it might not have felt great, so I'll get new tongs.

I'm at the point where I'll spend whatever to get him comfortable. It's stuff I'll be using for 10+ years. I'll definitely get my money's worth. So if there's anything else you can think of, just let me know.

Nope, you have absolutely everything under control

dont worry about the tongs, if he is tong trained he won't care, careful with these soft ends, they can come off, and when it happens it is better not to be when the guy is going for the food. So just keep checking.

Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!

I just wanted to throw another update in. Puck is doing great. He's not burrowing all the way like he used to, I see evidence in the morning that he was out and about during the night, and he's eating. I'm happy to have my unusually active pacman back. Though, he is a little calmer when it comes to eating, but I wonder if he doesn't like the nighcrawlers as much as he liked the crickets. I'm going to get more crickets today and try them out tonight - I was going to get them anyway to give him a little variety.

Also, I absolutely love the hydrotherm. It's worth every penny. I love that I don't need to worry about the frogger or the IR light, and I love more that I know Puck is comfortable all day and night.

Thank you all very much for the help. This is a great community.
