Default Looking for a specific type of frog

    Hello everyone,
I am setting up a small 10 gallon it's a 60/40 land to water ratio with plenty of vegetation it is currently house with a single goldfish and a couple more will be added soon. What I am looking for is a small active frog that likes to swim and go on land. I really would like to put some fire belly toads in there but I fear their toxins will kill the fish even with a decent filtration system. I was curious if there are similar non tree frogs in size to the FBTs that I can add to this tank. I have looked into it quite a bit and have come up short on answers.

    Thanks

    PS.
Looks like I posted this in the wrong forum.

Welcome to the forum Nope this is the right forum!

I would say that your goldfish will most likely outgrow that tank, they can get to be over 12" The Fire belly toads are best left in their own aquarium with a 50/50 water to land ratio.the land portion can be as simple as a floating dock or gravel sloped to one side with moss, plants and river stones. The goldfish's waste will most likely poison the toads. For more info look here > Frog Forum - Fire-Bellied Toad Care and Breeding - Bombina orientalis and relatives

As Ryan discussed, sorry; but your planned set-up is not going to work . A goldfish gets huge and won't fit in a 10 gallon for long; much less a partitioned shallow area of it. They carry parasites that can get your frog sick. Playing around with different fishes/frogs will bring you to similar non-working set-ups since a 10G tank is just too small to pull that off. If built correctly, can keep FBT by themselves .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

An option for a semi aquatic frog beside fbt's would be Vietnamese mossy frogs, but they definitely would need a much bigger enclosure.
