im building the stand out of four by fours and two by four, just for the weight factor, its a hagen tank the glass is 1/4 inch thick it should be able to hold their is not a lot of slate and I don't think its going to be on the bottom of the tank, will have a false bottom, not sure yet how im going to accomplish this but im going to give it try.
