Would either of these be ok to crush into a powder and dust my little American toads food?

I personally would never use any vitamins other than the ones that are specifically for reptiles and amphibians. You can ask the other members on the forum, but I think that they will agree.

Better to just get vitamins and calcium for reptiles, it will save you a lot of work and will be guaranteed to be safe. usually a high quality vitamin powder is anywhere from $10-$20. Repashy makes a great vitamin powder for dusting feeder crickets.

Recommend Repashy or RepCal products; do not use non-reptile formulas .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

Some things that are safe for humans are not safe for animals and their bodies are so different that they need different amounts of certain things, also the vitamin powders from the pet store are way better ground than you could manage at home so they coat the feeder insects better.

I like Repashy calcium plus multivitamin and Repcal phosphorus- free calcium with vitamin D3 .

Human minerals and vitamins have additives not made for amphibians.
