    Default When do Fowlers toads emerge from hibernation on Long Island, NY?

    I know areas they live in but dont know when they emerge from hibernation.

    Usually in april or may

    So what's the minimum temp they are active in? Do they breed after emerging or wait till summer? Thanks for your help!

    Probably when temps reach the upper fifties. They usually eat a ton for a couple weeks and then breed

    It's May and temps during the day are in the 60s or 70s, but night temps still get down to 50 sometimes, is this a good time to find the toads or too early still?
